Description
Description
The Trek FX 3 Disc is a smooth fitness bike to enjoy many kilometres on.
Fast and enjoyable exploring
Commute or exercise: either way, the Trek FX 3 Disc will get your pace up that little bit faster. This lightweight fitness bike almost looks like a road bike, except that the Trek FX 3 Disc features straight handlebars. In any case, the slightly more comfortable geometry and straight handlebars make this the ideal intermediate step between a hybrid bike and a road bike. Should you love this bike, but want a slightly more practical variant with mudguards, luggage rack, lights and a stand, be sure to check out the Trek FX 3 Equipped.
This fitness bike is made for smooth riding. For this, you have a lightweight aluminium frame with sporty geometry. There is also a carbon fork fitted. This material allows you to steer just a little tighter and it dampens vibrations a little better than an aluminium fork. The Trek FX 3 Disc is fitted with 32 mm wide Bontrager tyres. These have a good compromise between rolling resistance, comfort and grip. The straight IsoZone handlebar has special features compared to normal handlebars. Namely, it is designed to dampen vibrations better. All in all, this fitness bike is therefore suitable for many relatively comfortable kilometres.
Good shifting and braking components
The Trek FX 3 Disc is equipped with a 1x10 Shimano Deore groupset. The 11x46 cassette gives a wide gear range, which is great for cycling up hills. Because the crankset features a 40-tooth sprocket, the gears are just a bit lighter than what is normal on a road bike. Especially for novice sportive riders, this is a big plus. These parts are regularly used on mid-range MTBs, indicating that they can take a beating. To safely participate in traffic, it is important that a bike is equipped with good brakes. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes meet this requirement exactly. With high braking power and good controllability, this fitness bike gives you all the confidence you need on a nice, long ride.
